Leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, the new feature analyses the mobile device screen as part of the overall device diagnostics flow. The AI screen grading gets accurate and reliable data of the screen condition, reduces human error, subjectivity, and variance in screen grading. AI-powered screen grading creates new business opportunities, for example, for companies who offer trade-in programs, insurance, or microloans to mobile device users.
The new screen grading feature is easy for consumers, who can use available Android, iOS, or Huawei phones with the Picea® One app to capture a photo of the device screen that is being analyzed. Using another device is proven to be easier to use and provides better quality results than using a mirror. The AI-Powered Screen Grading uses the image, Piceasoft’s data, and artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze and grade the screen condition.

This is a value-added feature that customers can request as part of the PiceaServices Mobile product. When a B2B customer has ordered the feature, it is enabled in the Product Management toolset (PMC). Piceasoft customers get access to web-based Picea® Services Product Management (PMC) toolset where they can select the device identification checks and diagnostics tests to run on the consumer’s phone. Customers can take the grading feature in use as part of the mobile custom workflow.
After screen grading, B2B customers see the result as a grade for the device screen condition and can give a more accurate offer for device trade-in, insurance, repair, or microloan. A full audit trail is available in Reporting or via Reporting API including the original photo of the screen and grading result in compliance with privacy rules.
