Piceasoft’s CEO changes

Piceasoft, Europe’s leading provider of mobile device lifecycle solutions, has announced that its CEO Kristian Järnefelt has left his position. The company’s Board of Directors has started the process of hiring a new CEO. Jani Väänänen, Piceasoft Co-founder and CTO, has been appointed as an interim CEO.

During his tenure, Kristian Järnefelt oversaw a difficult change and development period in the company to lay the foundations for growth.

“We deeply thank Kristian’s contributions to Piceasoft’s growth and transformation journey,” says Ukko Lappalainen, Chairman of the Board.

Billions of usable mobile devices are thrown away each year, creating an e-waste management issue that is one of the critical sustainability challenges of our time. Piceasoft’s trade-in, support, repair, and recycling services help to solve these challenges contributing to the mobile phone sector’s transition towards the circular economy.
